Permit Path PERMIT PATH

End User License Agreement

Effective date: October 8, 2026

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you and Permit Path LLC (“Permit Path,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Permit Path mobile application and related services (together, the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Most Important Part: Your Permit Controls

Permit Path is a navigation aid, not a substitute for your permit. The App reads permit documents and displays routes to help you follow them, but the official permit issued by the state agency (the paper or PDF itself) is the only authoritative statement of your authorized route, conditions, and restrictions. Document reading, mapping data, and route rendering can contain errors or be out of date.

You are solely responsible for: verifying the App’s displayed route against your official permit before and during every trip; complying with all permit conditions (escorts, curfews, clearances, restrictions); obeying all traffic laws, road closures, signage, and law-enforcement direction; and the safe operation of your vehicle at all times. If the App’s route ever conflicts with your permit, signage, or safe judgment, follow the permit, the signage, and your judgment, not the App.

Drive safely. Do not interact with the App’s screen while your vehicle is in motion. Set up your route before departure and rely on voice guidance or a passenger while driving.

2. License

Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own commercial driving or your company’s internal business use. This is a license, not a sale; we and our licensors retain all rights in the App.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App or access to it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying methods of the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
  • access the App’s services by automated means or by any client other than the App, or probe, overload, or disrupt our systems;
  • use the App to build a competing product or service;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use;
  • use the App in violation of any law or regulation, or for any purpose other than its intended use.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the permit documents and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide and improve the App’s services to you. You represent that you have the right to upload the documents you submit. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this Agreement.

6. Maps and Third-Party Services

The App displays maps and navigation data provided by Google Maps. Your use of that content is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Mapping and road data come from third parties and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated; see Section 1.

7. Fees

The App is currently offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, pricing and terms will be presented to you before you are charged, and any purchases through an app store are also subject to that store’s terms.

8. Updates and Availability

We may update, change, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. Updates may be required for continued use. The App depends on network connectivity and third-party data sources and may be unavailable or degraded from time to time; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ROUTES, MAPS, OR PERMIT INTERPRETATIONS DISPLAYED BY THE APP ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PERMIT PATH AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP, NOR FOR ANY CITATIONS, FINES, PERMIT VIOLATIONS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, DELAYS, OR OTHER CONSEQUENCES OF RELIANCE ON ROUTES OR INFORMATION DISPLAYED BY THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THIS AGREEMENT LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Permit Path from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of this Agreement, your violation of law or the rights of a third party, or your operation of a vehicle.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate this Agreement or if we discontinue the App. Sections 1, 5, and 9–15 survive termination.

13. App Store Terms

If you obtained the App from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, the following also applies: this Agreement is between you and Permit Path only, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC, and Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content, and have no obligation to furnish maintenance or support, handle warranty claims (beyond any refund of the purchase price, where applicable), or address claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce it against you. You must also comply with the applicable app store’s terms of service.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of this Agreement or the App will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court or injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property in any court of competent jurisdiction.

15. General

This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, is the entire agreement between you and Permit Path regarding the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this Agreement; we may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We may update this Agreement from time to time; if we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you through the App, and continued use after the changes take effect means you accept them.
